Equipping on Biblical Manhood

"Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong!"
1 Corinthians 16:13

"Manhood has a great deal to do with standing in the revelation of God, faith in God's revelation, faith in God." —Doug Phillips

Heads of Households: (1st Sunday each month during the 9:30 Sunday School hour) As has been stated before, our Heads of Households Meetings are the primary means of grounding our men in the strong foundation of God's Word, and equipping them in practical ways to flesh out their mandate to love, provide and protect.

Building a Culture of Virtuous Boyhood: The foundation of godly manhood can be,and should be,started early! Lakeside values its sons and younger men and seeks to integrate them into the training of its men.

Annual Father & Son Camp Out: "Be A Man, Son" (October) All the men of the church are encouraged to come out for this very special evening in which our boys and younger men are challenged and given a vision for the men God would have them become. Enjoy a crisp, fall evening around a crackling campfire and around God's Word as it applies to manhood.

One on One Discipleship: "God's plan is accomplished over generations through heart level relationships." (Eric Wallace) As in the example modeled in Paul's relationship with Timothy, Lakeside encourages its men to ask God for someone who is willing to impart the wisdom of his years and life's experiences, as well as someone in whom they can invest themselves. If you are the father of a boy, your son is your first disciple. If you are an older man, ask God for a Timothy. And here is the perfect place to include the young man whose father is absent.
